Almuhtada.org – As a Muslim, we must always pray and begging to always be kept in a condition of Islamic faith. So, that be safe in life in the world and also passed away in a condition of husnul khatimah and also safe in the hereafter.
Many stories in the past that we can learn is that a person’s faith can change. A person who has faith and a worshipper not necessarily reach the heaven of Allah SWT. As well as a people that looks as a sinner, not necessarily become a member of hell.
Quoting the book made by Ustazd Ahmad Zacky El-Syafa and the title “He live again after death 100 years: Touching Stories that Strengthen Faith, a story is told about a man of worship who died in a condition of shirk.
This guy is named Barshisha, he is from Bani Israel. Barshisha is known as a worshipper, also he got a title called al-Abid which means the worshipper.
Beside that, he is also known as a person which he prayed got granted by Allah SWT. A lot of people which is sick come to him for a medicine. Thanks to his prayers and also the power of Allah SWT, all diseases can be cured.
Barshisha Got Distracted by The Devil
Seeing the greatness of Barshisha, the devil which is the ancestors of Satan become furious and annoyed. So, the devil invited the Satan which then ordered to do the ‘holy duty’ according to the devil’s version.
Jin ifrit which have smart brain and have sneaky trickery then said, “I agreed to distract him. If it doesn’t work, you can fire me and get out from this “Satan’s crew.” The devil answered, “Do your task well”
After that, a girl got a mental disorder and it lasted for several days. Then the Satan came to the king’s family with the shape of a human then said, “If you want your daughter to get better from this disease, then bring her to Barshisha, he will make your daughter better by praying which is popular by granting it.”
They then went to Barshisha’s house and that girl is better. Then the Satan that still shape as ahuman came to visit and said, “If your daughter is really well, doesn’t relapse, it’s best that Barshisha take care of her temporary.”
The king then obeyed the Satan’s rule and the girl then got taken care by Barshisha.
One day, with the Satan’s smart brain, an arrow of romance pierced the heart of Barshisha. His heart fluttered when he beheld the beauty of the princess.
The distraction by the Satan succeeds making Barshisha unable to contain her lust.
The effect from that accident, the girl got pregnant. Then Satan came to see Barshisha then said, “Barshisha, you just got the king’s daughter pregnant, you will not be saved. The king will punish you, because of this. But stay calm, there is another way to save yourself.
Just kill her and bury it in this place of yours. If the king asks where his daughter is, just say that she has passed away and you buried her. He will definitely believe you.”
Panicked, anxious and confused and not knowing what to do, the devil’s advice was followed. Then the king’s daughter was killed and then buried in her place.
When the king’s family visited their daughter, Barshisha answered that she has passed away because such is the destiny of Allah.
Not a single suspicious from the king, then the king accepted and corrected the description of Barshisha. But the Satan shaped like a human told the king that it was just Barshisha’s talk.
This Satan revealed the true events. The king was furious, and Barshisha was arrested. In a critical state, the Satan came to Barshisha and said, “I can save you from this cross on one condition that you bow down to me just once,” he said.
“That’s easy with just one condition it’s already enough.” As Satan said.
And Barshisha who was popularly known as al-Abid then bowed down to the devil by nodding his head as a sign. Witnessing this with a relieved heart while laughing with satisfaction, the Satan said ” Indeed I release myself from you, I am not responsible for that act, (for) indeed I (myself) fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.”
Satan’s words are in accordance with the verse of the Qur’an in Surah Al-Hasyr verse 16:
كَمَثَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ إِذْ قَالَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ ٱكْفُرْ فَلَمَّا كَفَرَ قَالَ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّنكَ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Meaning:
(The persuasion of the hypocrites is) like that of the Satan when he said to man: “Disbelieve you”, so when the man disbelieved, he said: “Indeed, I separate myself from you, for I fear Allah, the Lord of the Worlds”. [] Fahdina Dean Yustisia
