Almuhtada.org – Aisyah not only known as a beautiful woman, but also has beauty of heart and character. Rasulullah SAW nicknamed her “Al-Humairah” which means redness (white skin and red cheeks).
Aisyah known as Ummul Mukminin, which means mothers of believers. This title is not exaggerated, because Aisyah has a soft heart, generous, and brave to be affirmative.
Summarizing the book of The Noble Story of the Woman of Paradise Ummul Mukminin Aisyah by W. Sasmita and Weda S. Atmanegara The story of Aisha’s generosity is said to go beyond the limit, because she gives everything without thinking of herself. Aisyah’s softness is what informs her generous nature.
Aisyah’s softness has already form to be a a person who doesn’t take things to heart, if she saw a other person in difficulties. How generous she is, Aisyah also gives all of her treasure without thinking how much treasure she has.
She also never let her treasures keep stacking in her house.
In another story, Aisyah said, one day Aisyah had a Woman come by and bring two daughters. The woman come by and ask for food. Aisyah said, “At that time I only had one date which I immediately gave to her.
He divided the dates between his two daughters. After that they stand up and left. Not long enough, Rasulullah came and I told Rasulullah about what had happened earlier.
Then he said, “whoever help such girls like them, and then being kind to them, then they will be a protection for them from Hellfire.” (Narrated by Bukhari and Ibn Hibban)
Another story, once there’s a poor man come to Aisyah and ask her so that he can have food. At that time, Aisyah is holding a bunch of grapes.
Then Aisyah asks the person to give a bunch of grapes to the poor man. Receiving the grape, the poor man was surprised. Aisyah said, “”Do you wonder (at the small gift?) Do you not see how many dharrahs are in that grain of grapes?” (Narrated by Malik and Ibn Abi Shaibah)
Aisyah’s generous nature is certainly inseparable from who educated her and where she came from. Under the guidance of her father Abu Bakr and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as her husband, Aisyah received a great example of generosity.
Her father Abu Bakr was known to be generous and kind. This generous attitude was naturally passed on to his children including Aisyah and Asma’ bint Abu Bakar.
Asma is also no less generous, she is a woman who also likes to give and help the poor. Even Abdullah bin Zubair said, “I have never known two women who were more generous than ‘Aisyah and Asma.
The two of them are different. ‘Aisyah collected all she had. Then, after the treasure reached a certain amount, then she gave it away. Asma’ on the other hand tended not to save anything for tomorrow. What she received today she also gave it away today.”
Aisyah’s gentleness and kindness was also shown to slaves and servants. Aisyah was known to love slaves and always tried to free them.
Aisha treated them well and was never wasted on them. It is narrated that when she had to make up for a vow that she had canceled, she freed forty slaves. (Narrated by Bukhari)
Those are some stories of the softness of the heart and the generous attitude of Aisyah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Hopefully her good attitude can be an example for all Muslim women. [] Fahdina Dean Yustisia
