Almuhtada.org – So, what does zina means? Zina is an act of intercourse between a woman and a man who are not mahrams (not lawful partners).
In islam, it is forbidden to get close to zina, because zina is one of the biggest sins which can bring painful punishment to the perpetrator. That’s why forbids us to get close to zina. This prohibition is stated in the Quran Surah Al-Isra verse 32.
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلزِّنَىٰٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَٰحِشَةً وَسَآءَ سَبِيلًا
Meaning:
And do not get close to zina; (zina) is indeed an abominable deed, and a bad way.
Types of zina in Islam
Here are some type zina that is important that you should know:
- Zina Al-Laman
The first type of zina is zina Al-Laman. This type of zina can occur only through the five senses. Zina Al-Laman itself is divided into several types of zina. Here are some types of zina Al-Laman:
- Zina Ain
This zina is committed by the eyes when a person looks at the opposite gender with pleasure or lust.
- Zina Qalbi
Zina which is committed by heart that is when we think or imagining the opposite gender with a feeling of pleasure and happiness.
- spoken zina
Zina which is by spoken while we talked with the opposite gender followed by a feeling of pleasure.
- Zina of the hand
Zina committed by the hand. This occurs when a person intentionally touches a body part of the opposite gender followed by feelings of pleasure, happiness or lust.
- Zina Muhsan
The next type of zina is zina muhsan. This zina occurs when a married couple commits infidelity, such as having sexual intercourse, with someone who is not their partner. Apart from being sinful, this type of zina also has the potential to cause harm in the form of the onset of venereal disease.
- Zina Gairu Muhsan
Unlike zina muhsan, which is committed by a legal couple, zina gairu muhsan is a type of zina committed by people who are not yet legally married. This type of zina is often committed by lovers who are tempted by Satan’s seduction so that they vent their lust and lead to adultery.
Punishment for zina
Islam has regulated all matters including the punishment for zina. The punishment for zina is differentiated according to its types. Zina mukhsan and zina ghairu mukhsan is zina committed by those who are never been married. For ghairu mukhsan zina are sentenced to 100 lashes and exiled for a year. While for zina mukhsan sentenced to stoning. The punishment is based on the hadith, namely:
“Take it from me, take it from me, indeed Allah has made a way for them. The virgin who commits zina with a girl shall be flogged one hundred times and exiled for one year. And the married man who commits zina shall be flogged a hundred times and stoned.” (H.R. Muslim from Ubadah bin Samit)
The danger of zina
Here are some danfer of zina in islam you should understand:
1) can get a big sin and being dumped by Allah SWT.
2) Lost the light from his face so that it looks dull and gloomy.
3) Damage to his dignity and self-esteem in front of Allah SWT and humans.
3) Get social sanctions if his actions are known to the community.
4) The zina person will be narrowed by Allah SWT so that he is reluctant to do praiseworthy deeds.
