Almuhtada.org-Al-Qur’an which is the book of Islamic people in the world becomes the main source of Islamic law-making and also a book which contains everything and knowledge which relates to the creation of the Khaliq, Allah SWT. The same goes for the creation of the universe, including stars and planets (other than planet Earth).
If we think about the creation of these two things, a question will arise in our minds, what is the point of Allah creating everything? What is the point of a star? What is a point of a planet, like Saturn, Pluto, and other planets? Other planets aren’t a human living. It’s different than the moon which has been colonized several times by human feet from all around the world. Meanwhile Allah creates human so that they can worship him, as mentioned in His words:
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْانْسَ اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنِ
Meaning:
“I didn’t create jinn and human rather so that they can pray to me”. (Al-Qur’an Surah Az-Zariyat:56)
To be recognized or not, Allah’s creations hold a whole lot of unknown mysteries. Other planets may have inhabitants, which we often know as an alien or only a fictional story which aims to getting more knowledge and very important of how wide Allah’s creation is, which known as the universe.
Regardless of the statements about stars or even planet Mercury, and friends, only one thing that we should remember, that Allah is great with all His powers.
Without us realizing some of these things that are running through our minds have been answered in the Qur’an before we realize it.
Because that Allah has created are never a waste, even the wind as an invisible creature has been created to fly a plane or anything else. As well as a stars and a planet that had been created also has a function.
Meaning:
Indeed, in the creation of a sky and earth, and the change of night and day, there are signs for the people of intelligence, (which is) people who remember Allah while standing, or sitting or while laying down and they think about the creation of a sky and earth (he said)
“Oh Allah, there’s not a thing where you create this without a waste, Glory be to You, so keep us from the torture of hell.” (Ali ‘Imran/3:190-191)
The verse often uses as a reference by writers and researchers about the creation of the universe. It is correct if we dig further into the function of Allah’s creations which we consider aren’t functional, but apparently it also has a role in the life of this universe.
Stars has an important role for the skies which can be dark, without any stars and other solar systems, the skies will not be as beautiful as it is, like we can see when it’s night.
Meaning:
“Then, do they not see the skies that are above them, how will we raise it and decorate it and that skies don’t have any cracks at all?” (QS. Al-Qaf:06).
The verse also has an answer to the function of a stars which dangling in the sky, and also becomes the answer for those who deny the power of Allah.
The conclusion is that Allah creates everything that will not be a waste, because every creation that Allah has made and also the stars and the planets is a sign of Allah’s power. Allah also told us as a believer to think with our brains which is a very special thing for a human, because it is only owned by humans and not by other living beings.
In other words, the intellect will teach us that the universe is really wide, so that our faith and knowledge will continue to grow. [] Fahdina Dean
