Almuhtada.org – What Muslims know about Prophet Ibrahim is that his body was not burnt. This happened when he was tried to be burned by King Namrud in a fire for 40 days. But did you know, there are other miracles from Prophet Ibrahim that are rarely known.
Prophet Ibrahim himself was the 6th of the 25 prophets. He is also a prophet who received the title of khalilullah or lover of Allah because Prophet Ibrahim always prioritized Allah’s orders over others.
Prophet Ibrahim settled in the country of Sham after leaving Egypt. He stayed with a people who lived in the Wadi Sab’i Valley.
Allah widened the fortune of Prophet Ibrahim. He had a lot of wealth and farm animals. To the point that some say that Prophet Ibrahim had 12 thousand herds of goats.
In each herd there is 1 dog guarding it. The dog was dressed in colored silk. The necklace around his neck was a gold chain.
When Prophet Ibrahim’s herd of animals kept growing and growing, the land to hold them was getting smaller and smaller. The people of the region discussed and said to Ibrahim, “O salih, leave our land. You have shrunk our land with your animals.”
Hearing this request, Prophet Ibrahim followed what the people asked. He left them.
But what happened? After the departure of Prophet Ibrahim, the wells dried up. Even though previously the well water was abundant. Once Prophet Ibrahim left, many of the people died of thirst.
Finally they caught up with Prophet Ibrahim and asked him to return to their valley. But Prophet Ibrahim refused. They complained to Prophet Ibrahim about the lack of water since he left. So, Prophet Ibrahim gave seven goats.
“Keep one goat in each well. Water will come to you,” said Prophet Ibrahim.
They took the seven goats and placed them in all the wells. After that, the water returned with the blessing of Prophet Ibrahim’s animals. Therefore, the valley is called the Valley of the Seven. [Fahdina Dean]
