Almuhtada.org – The rewards for memorizing the Qur’an are very great both in the world and in the hereafter. The Qur’an revealed by Allah SWT to the Prophet Muhammad SAW is a mercy for believers.
The Qur’an will also provide benefits for its readers and those who memorize and practice it.
Rasulullah SAW said:
عَنْ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَلَّامٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعًا لِأَصْحَابِه
Meanings:
Zayd heard Abu Sallam say, Abu Umamah Al Bahili said, I heard the Prophet SAW say: “Read the Qur’an, for it will come to intercede for its readers on the Day of Resurrection. [No. 804 Sharh Shahih Muslim] Sahih.
Rewards for Memorizing the Qur’an
Al-Juwaini explained this by saying that it means that there should be no break in the memorization of the Quran so that the Quran is protected from being replaced and altered.
The Quran is also a blessing for them, because reading and memorizing the holy book can strengthen faith and goodness can be found in it and will increase love for it.
The reward for memorizing the Quran will later provide intercession or help to his family.
Ali Bin Abi Talib Karramallahu Wajhah said that the Rasulullah (SAW) said: “Whoever recites the Quran and memorizes it, Allah will put him in heaven and grant him the right of intercession for 10 members of his family, all of whom are destined for hell.”
In addition, another reward for memorizing the Quran will be wearing a crown of honor on the Day of Judgment.
Diriwayatkan dari Abu Hurairah ra, bahwa Nabi SAW bersabda: “Orang yang hafal Al Quran nanti pada hari kiamat nanti akan datang dan Al Quran akan berkata; “Wahai Tuhan, pakaikanlah dia dengan pakaian yang baik lagi baru.” Maka orang tersebut di berikan mahkota kehormatan. Al Quran berkata lagi:
“Wahai Tuhan tambahlah pakaiannya.” Maka orang itu di beri pakaian kehormatannya. Al Quran lalu berkata lagi, “Wahai Tuhan, redailah dia.” Maka kepadanya di katakan; “Bacalah dan naiklah.” Dan untuk setiap ayat, ia di beri tambahan satu kebajikan.” [] Fahdina Dean Yustisia
