Almuhtada.org – The Prophet (SAW) has encouraged his followers to break the fast when it is time to do so. However, there is a man who is a fasting expert who likes to delay breaking the fast.
This story has been told by Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah in Al-Ruh from Al-Qairuwani who received news from a shaykh who had many honors. The shaykh received news from a jurist.
He told that back then, they were friends with a man that fast a lot even on without a stop. However he usually likes to delay his fast.
When sleeping, that person saw two black people which seems to be pulling their sleeves upwards and his clothes to be taken to the blazing furnace and thrown into it. The man said, “Why are you doing this?”
The two black men then answered, “Because Because you are breaking the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad. Indeed, he commanded to give the breaking of the fast first, while you are delaying it.”
Then in the morning, the man who is a fasting expert face become black, because of a burned fire, so then he covered his face in front of people, beacuse he felt a shame of himself.
Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah said that what is more amazing than this kind of story is that someone saw in his dream that he was very thirsty, hungry and suffering.
Then, someone else gives him something to drink, eat, or treats him with some medicine. As soon as he wakes up from sleep, all these feelings disappear and those who saw him are amazed.
A similar incident, treated through dreams, was experienced by the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, ‘Aisha RA. Imam Malik narrated it from Abu Ar-Rijal, from ‘Amrah, from ‘Aisha.
He said that ‘Aisha’s slave woman had cast a spell on ‘Aisha. Then, a servant entered the room of ‘Aisha who was sick. The servant said that ‘Aishah was under a spell.
‘Aishah asked, “Who has put a spell on me?”
The servant replied, “A slave woman who had a child urinating in her room.”
So, ‘A’ishah called her slave woman. The slave woman said, “(I will return) after I wash the urine off my clothes.”
‘Aisha asked her, “Have you put a spell on me?”
The slave woman replied, “Yes.”
‘Aisha asked, “What motivated you to do that?”
The slave woman said, “I wanted to be freed immediately.”
So, ‘Aishah ordered her brother to sell the slave woman to a Bedouin who was bad with his slaves. Her brother then sold her.
Then, ‘Aishah had a dream that she was bathing in the water of three wells from which she took water from each well. She bathed in that water and was instantly cured of her sickness. [] Fahdina Dean Yustisia
